Tenure-track Assistant Professor

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for one (or more) faculty position(s). The Department seeks to attract, develop, and retain excellent faculty members with strong records and future promise. The Department is especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the University’s academic community through their research, teaching, and service.

The Department seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the systems area, including but not limited to operating systems, distributed systems, databases and information systems, storage systems, network systems, mobile and wireless systems, cyber-physical systems, Internet of things, and computer security. In addition, outstanding candidates in other areas of computer science and engineering may be reviewed with special consideration for faculty with research interests at the interface of computer science and biology, medicine, and/or health. 

Applicants must submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a research statement, a teaching statement, a statement that summarizes their planned contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and contact information for three professional references. Applications must be received by November 4, 2022, to guarantee full consideration; however, the review of applications will continue until December 16, 2022.

The Department offers Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate degrees. Tenure track faculty members are expected to excel in classroom teaching, lead highly visible research projects that attract substantial external funding, advise graduate students, and serve the profession and the University.
